Koruza is an innovative open-source open-hardware wireless communication system, employing a new low-cost approach to designing free-space optical network systems, enabling building-to-building connectivity with an eye safe highly collimated light beam at a capacity of 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps at distances up to 100 meters, enabling organic bottom-up growth of high-capacity networks.
A DIY friendly, open-source release together with a complete kit of assembly parts as well as detailed instructions on how to properly assemble and test the system is released. Check Koruza website for the details.
DocumentationKoruza is documented on GitHub, using best practices of software design to allow collaborative editing.
It is is available in a number of GitHub repositories.
- Koruza – Here you can find all the plans for mechanical and electronic Koruza parts.
- koruza-pi – This is a Koruza package for Raspberry Pi (user interface, measurements data collection, controller).
- UniversalUnipolarStepperController – Here you can find documentation for universal controller for unipolar stepper motors with encoders and end switches.
- koruza-testing – Test scripts for use in artificial fog tunnel and general testing, primary useful for scientific applications.
