Idea:
I remember the first time I saw Hugo Cornellier's video "AGE 12 TO MARRIED" - I took a photo everyday." That same day I took my first daily picture, wanting to create my own video sometime in the future. This was December 31, 2019, I've been taking pictures everyday since then. I began editing the pictures, one at a time, and because of my perfectionism, I specifically remember not only spending hours on only a few pictures, but also logging how long each image took to adjust. After a few months I became demoralized and only managed to edit a mere 40, a fraction of the total number of pictures I would have to adjust for this idea to be reality. Eventually, I edited my last picture a few years ago, and I even stopped taking pictures for some months. Currently I have about 400 pictures sitting, just waiting to be made into a video. I thought, rather, I knew this dream wasn't going to be achieved (at least not in my lifetime).
This changed when I began working on facial recognition research in my research class. After growing comfortable working with thousands of pictures in OpenCV for my research project, I had a vague idea. I thought it might be possible to adjust each picture to be aligned on one's eye. My dream just might be able to become reality, automating a great task, saving hours, potentially days.
Current Development Stage:
Currently, this project works as a basic CLI script, but I want to create a basic GUI eventually. Check it out on Github!
