Concept formation:

Connection between humans and the built environment / seen and unseen

Electronics have an industrial feel that can be imposing and is often hidden or disguised, I wanted to balance that idea with a playful and physical interaction.

Movement on rail trail will be at many different speeds, I wanted to create a piece that can capture and highlight all of these forms, and to create an opportunity/incentive to have people change that speed.

Form Concept Formation:

Wanted the piece to feel imposing, but inviting. The resemblance to a communication tower was intended to highlight an often hidden piece of modern infrastructure, and to change the dynamic of the relationship with these objects.
