We're currently experimenting with existing software and hardware solutions in an effort to determine an ideal ecosystem. The basis of this standard is in bluetooth and Lora based devices. The goal is to create a standard by which gateways and sensor nodes can mesh together and communicate to a central cloud.
With the software platform we hope to encourage use of the platform regardless of the hardware. Its being built on an open API that has been battle tested.
We're also working with ASAN (Autonomous Space Agency Network) to create a temporary Lora network in the sky via near space balloons and then have them relay information to the cloud via cellular upon re-entry: https://github.com/asanspace
Once we launch the software platform our energy will be put towards building a community of users and contributors. We're more interested in building a community than we are a platform or product.
