This is a simple project for improving your musical or audio entertainment by powering your system using the amplifier. The board is built around the PAM8403 IC, and we use it to power two speakers: the left and the right. Remember, an amplifier is a device to strengthen weak signals to be loud and clear. Here, we are designing an amplifier that can be used to amplify input signals from any Bluetooth device so that they can be heard through the right and left speakers connected to the designated channels of our module.
PAM8403 IC Amplifier Module Pinout.- VDD- This module's central power supply pin is connected to the power source positive terminal. The voltage should be 5V.
- INL- This is the module’s left channel input. The purpose is to receive the input audio signals for the left side channel.
- INR- This is the module’s correct channel input. The purpose is to receive the input audio signals for the right side channel.
- SHLD- This is the shutdown control input for the module.
- MUTE- This is the mute control input for the module.
- GND- The module's ground pin connects to the audio source's ground, and the power source's negative.
- -OUTL- This is the module's left channel's negative output, which amplifies the left audio channel's negative signals.
- +OUTL- This is the module's left channel's positive output, which amplifies the left audio channel's positive signals.
- -OUTR- This is the module's right channel's negative output, which amplifies the right audio channel's negative signals.
- +OUTR- This is the module's right channel's positive output, which amplifies the right audio channel's positive signals.
Below is the list of components used to do this module.

- PAM8403D 3W Filterless Class-D Stereo Audio Amplifier, SOP-16 U1 SOP-16_3.9x9.9mm_P1.27mm
The circuit is straightforward as it can be derived from the datasheet. The module amplifies audio input to drive the connected speakers, where it can control both left and right signals.
You can. The pins receive audio from every source, such as mobile phones, computers, and tablets. Capacitors 0.47 uF are connected between the input and ground to improve the audio signal quality by filtering unwanted noise and other signal disturbances. The amplified audio is delivered to speakers through terminal blocks J1 and J2 labelled ± OUTL and ± OUTR.
This module brings in the benefits of no additional output filtering being required, and it directly drives the speakers with zero extra components.
Order for manufacturingAfter generating all the manufacturing files, I moved to the PCBway home page to order for the manufacturing through the online instant quote page. Here, I started by inputting the size of the board, selecting the material and quantity of the boards, and selecting the layers of my board.
Click calculate to get the first quote, then hit save to cart. Then, another window will pop out where you need to submit your Gerber files for the team of experts to review and give you a final quote.
Upload the Gerber file, submit it and wait for the quote to be completed. Make payment as required through various available payment methods and wait for the order to be delivered in seven days.
