Problem Statement
Now-a-days air conditioning (AC) is becoming an increasingly important factor in all the Practical laboratories (Labs) like Computer Lab, Radio Frequency (RF) signal transmitter Lab, Electronic systems lab, offices, Teachers chambers, Research Lab, Sophisticated instrumentation Lab, etc in Universities/Colleges because it regulating the interior climate. The temperature is maintained to fixed value and it is controlled within the range of ±30. It cannot keep the healthy air due to more number of persons respiration, Systems heating, the Laboratory can be humid this make the people in the laboratory feel discomfort and students cannot concentrate more on their studies. If a data center room is too humid, condensation can build on computer components and cause them to short circuit. In addition, high humidity can cause condensation to form on the coils of a cooling unit, causing it to work harder to rid itself of the condensation, which in turn can lead to wasted cooling. This humid conditions change the temperature and pressure by the air density variation which is discomfort to the persons inside the room. The humidity can spoil the powder samples when they are undergoing for the analysis/test. In the research lab incubator can radiate the temperature outside the glass chamber cause the room temperature raise, it should be measured and maintained properly. The acceleration checking is necessary to measure for the orbital shaker so that the solution shakes well and it can give good and expected results. When the bearings cause primary damages like Wear, Indentations, Smearing, Surface distress, Corrosion, due to chemical and humidity environment they cannot be vigorous and their acceleration is require to check, this can be done with accelerometer. Some of the sophisticated instruments like Scanning electron Microscope (SEM), Raman Spectrometer, require the leveling to be free from unbalancing. The leveling of instruments can be done with the help of Gyroscope. Instruments or tables need to place in the proper alignment for example in a straight line or perpendicular or parallel to each other this can be done without scale or measuring tape simply my placing the magnetometer.
Project Approach
Humidity measurement are useful in a class room because it causes healthy risk if exposed much and the some of the instruments make noise which are need to be measure and should take proper steps for avoiding noise pollution. The noise can be estimated by the accelerometer and microphone. The gyroscope is used to level the sophisticated instruments and magnetometer is useful for systems alignment in a proper direction. Temperature and pressure is also measured in closed halls for proper respiration to humans. The humidity also affects the electronic devices by short circuiting. Everyone is using the smart phone so the STM SensorTile Development Kit will be a handy instruments for students, teachers. Due to it sample size it can be designed as wearable device tag and this sensor tag is not only useful for Colleges but it can be used in industries, offices, Movie theaters, Vehicles, Hospitals.
Step1: The rotatory pump health is going t check with the sensor tile this is old system and perform good but noise level is high. Let us check.
Step2: Sensor tile is placed on Rotatory pump.
Step 3:Open the ST SensorTile app.
Step 4: When connection is secured the app display the device with its unique ID.
Step 5: The parameter futures on opening the SensorTile device app
Step 6: When the rotatory pump is ON the accelerations are measure and the levels are high which indicate the system need maintenance repairs to avoid vibrations.
Step 7: Gyro also shows their are solid vibrations it is better to change the lubricants, ball bearings and use shock observers.
Step 8: Magnetometer confirms their are strong vibrations in the system may cause noise pollution.
Step 9: The noise level is measure using th eon-board MIC in SensorTile device which indicates the level is high and causing the noise pollution.
Overall the rotatory pump is not suitable at present to operated due to its high level of sound pollution, vibrations. It is better to replace the ball bearings, add lubricants or replay with new one.
Now we will see hoe the SensorTile is useful when some other laboratory devices do not show display.
Step 10: Air conditioner temperature indicator was failed to show the value then we can use the SensorTile to now the environment temprature.
Step 11: The sensotile paced close to the Instrument to keep the instrument in condition with out over heating.
Step 12: The temperature value is measure using the SensorTile in mobile app.
That how we can use this senostile for UN-displayble devices to indicate the temperature, humidity, pressure to protect instruments and human health.
In thermal evaporation system we have vacuum pump which also makes noise so we are going to check its status to.
Step 13: Thermal evaporation system need to undergo health check for proper working.
Step 14: Sensor tile is placed on the Vacuum pump to know its status.
Step 15: The acceleration of the pump is shown in the screenshot image indicates the vibrations are not that much high. Anyhow it needs to apply proper lubricants to make it function smoothly.
Step 16: On-board magnetometer indicates the vibrations cause to tilt so proper shock observers need to replace.
Step 17: Noise level is stable indicates it is not producing the more vibrations which is a sign to use it with proper lubricants.
Step 18: The data can be logged and can transfer to the authorized service centers to perform the repairs the data can be recorded in On-board SD card for future analysis.
Step 19: Analysis is carried out on MIC noise level measurement.

Project Conclusion
The Smart STM SensorTile hand wearable tag with the all sensors (Temperature, Pressure, Humidity, Accelerometer, Magnetometer, microphone and Gyroscope) makes comfort to students for learning and testing the measurement systems in proper environment. The temperature, Humidity and pressure maintenance are very much important for the student’s health in Computer Labs, class rooms, Meeting halls, etc. The variation of room environment causes health issues and they are loss concentration on the current topics/discussions. STM SensorTile Development Kit measurements with mobile apps can be useful to take decisions on the room maintenance. These measurement sensors are necessary not only for humans but also for the electronic devices health monitoring. The accelerometer in the sensor tag will be useful to monitor the rotating objects acceleration. The magnetometer from sensor tag is used to scale the directions, angles without any drafting scale for Engineering students and also for aligning the instruments in particular orientations. Machineries Noise level can be estimated using microphone so that the repair maintenance can be done in-time. And finally the gyroscope is used for leveling the drawing table, sophisticated instruments or any other objects in the Laboratories without any spirit level.
