This project was done for class using the Arduino Uno Starter Kit, which includes all of the above materials. We based our project off of one of the example projects in the Starter Booklet, which was called Love-O-Meter, and instead of 3 red LEDS, we used 1 red, 1 yellow, and 1 green LED to mimic a real traffic light. Our main input used in this project was a temperature sensor, which made the different LEDs light up according to the temperature (low temp = red LED, medium temp = yellow LED, high temp = green LED) We also added a second input, which was a push-button switch. When the button is pressed, while the green LED is on, a sound will play from the speaker. The sound will not play if the button is pressed while the red or yellow LED is on.
