This is an easy to assemble Pedal actuated sanitizer dispenser which can be installed in public spaces. There are no electronics components involved in the design, so they can be deployed even in remote areas of developing countries with ease.
An anti vandalism grill has been provided to detect/prevent the contamination of the sanitization liquid.
Working Mechanism:
The movable pipe with an L-clamp at one end rests on the pump of the hand sanitizer.
When the pedal is pressed the pipe is pulled down dispensing the sanitizing liquid.
PVC pipes were chosen because they had enough strength to withstand the pull and at the same time be lightweight so that the pump has enough pressure to bring the pedal back to its normal position once our foot is removed.
A working prototype was built using makeshift hardware available at home.
