Some time ago I found an old bicycle light in my garage. It is the original lamp
of the well-known BOSCH brand. This lamp has many scratches and a few dents, but it only gives it an original style. I do not know exactly where to mount it, maybe
it will light up my desk, or maybe do some lighting in the workshop or gazebo. In this projection, I used the LM2596 the same one I used when building other LED lamp Diy LED lights panel for 5$ - Cheap and Easy 6 x 10W
The entire project, you can also see here: DIY vintage LED lamp from old bike lights
Step 1: Components- Old bicycle light
- Small baking pan
- 1 x LED 10W
- LM2596
- Silicone heat transfer compound

Step 3: Cleaning and Removing Unnecessary PartsI removed unnecessary parts that I no longer need. Then I cleaned everything, especially the glass.
Step 4: Drilling HolesBecause I have 3 mm screws and in LEDs are 2.5 mm holes, so I need to drill to 3mm. I drilled 3 holes, two 3mm on LED and one 4mm on cord. Because the edges are not nice, I smooth them with a much larger drill bit.
Step 5: Voltage SettingBefore soldering LM2596 to LED I check the voltage and set them to about 9.5V.Then hook LM2596 to the LED and set the voltage again. My LED diodes have not been set to full power, so I have no problem with overheating.
Step 6: SolderingSoldering of LED and LM2596.
Step 7: Mounting the LEDThe project is finished. I have to choose the right place for my new LED lamp.
