Ever since I learned about automation during my studies in IoT at UPES Dehradun, India, I've been keen to explore and apply this technology in my home.
In 2022, I took the initiative to create a Smart Home Automation System using NodeMCU and relays, allowing me to control up to 8 appliances remotely. To simplify the development process, I opted for the Arduino IoT Cloud, which not only streamlined the system's design but also enabled the creation of an easy-to-use dashboard.
At home, this system has become an integral part of my routine. With scheduling functions, it ensures that daily tasks are carried out efficiently, even when I'm not around. The integration of Alexa voice control has added a hands-free dimension to the experience, making interactions with my home seamless and futuristic.
Throughout this journey, I've relied on tools like the Arduino IDE and Arduino IoT Cloud to develop the code that brings my smart home to life. This project has not only enhanced my skills in IoT and home automation but has also demonstrated the transformative potential of technology within our living spaces.
As I continue to explore new innovations and integrations, I'm excited to see how the boundaries of what a Smart Home can achieve will be pushed further.
