OBD 2 Can Do

On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) is an industry standard interface that most manufacturers support worldwide. There are regional variations and manufacturer extensions, of course. You can use the data emanating from your automobile to improve your operating efficiency (save money) and be prepared for improved troubleshooting (save money, again). Of course, the bells and whistles (or even eye candy) with the data will help you to appreciate your automobile better (or exchange it for a better one).

This project works at two levels - real-time telemetry using the local resources and prescriptive analytics using the Cloud (viz. Machine Learning with Azure) particularly in a collaborative environment. In real-time, you can set thresholds for various sensor data. You can share your data in the Cloud with other drivers of the same model of automobile to understand whether you are deriving the optimal performance.
