This project is the result of a set of collaborations between a photographer and an engineer, in the interactive laboratory of art, science & technology called Plataforma (Bogota, Colombia).
The idea was to to show, like in a Making-off, the composition of a home-made analog photography superposition of two pictures. Our system allowed any visitor to virtually separate them, enhancing his experience with a custom piece and making him the artist of the moment.
How?
The interactivity was originally made with a sonar sensor but we noticed that a stable control was more appropriate. To do so, the artist hacked the scroll wheel of a mouse (see below) and we connected it to a computer running our Processing program (see github repository).
