The PP-UART-to-Ethernet is a compact yet powerful Ethernet-to-UART (TTL) converter. As shown in the image, simply mount it, and it's ready to use.
It's small! But surprisingly, everything you need is packed inside this module. It includes an MCU with a built-in MAC and firmware that supports all serial communications. Just mount it and supply power—everything is set to go!
- UART to Ethernet based on W55RP20( RP2040 MCU )
- Includes W55RP20 and magnetic RJ45 modular jack
- 10/100Mbps Ethernet & Up to 230kbps serial speed
- Status pins: RUN status
- MQTT, Modbus Available
- Serial signals - UART (TX, RX, RTS, CTS)
- USB debugging support
RP_BOOT: When RESET is triggered or power is turned on, if RP_BOOT is connected to GND, the system enters BOOT mode. In this mode, firmware can be uploaded via USB. (The default firmware is already uploaded. If you are not adding additional features, you do not need to include this in your design.)
USB_DP/DM: Firmware can be uploaded via USB in BOOT mode. (The default firmware is already uploaded. If you are not adding additional features, you do not need to include this in your design.)
RUN_LED: Blinks when the module is operating normally.
UART_RTS: When RESET is triggered or power is turned on, if RTS is connected to GND, the module operates in RS-422 mode. If RTS is left floating, it operates in RS-485 mode.
RESET: Operates in Active Low mode.
232/485 CS: LOW: TTL/RS-232, HIGH: RS-485/422 (In this case, RTS Pin LOW: RS-422, HIGH: RS-485).
- If you are using the board with RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485, you need to design the appropriate circuit. The board operates at TTL level.
Need to convert Serial to Ethernet on your custom board? This board is the perfect solution!Since the MAC is already built-in, you can simply purchase it and use WIZnet’s Configuration Tool. The Configuration Tool is a standalone executable, so no installation is required.
Download the Configuration Tool
Download the wizconfig_s2e_tool executable file and start using it. When you open the tool, you will see the following interface. Click Device Search, and the product name and MAC address will appear. Then, configure the settings as desired and click Apply Settings—that's it! You can start using it immediately.
This product allows you to configure UART-TTL / RS-232 / RS-422 / RS-485 directly via hardware. When you click Device Search, the current protocol settings will be displayed.Simply adjust the settings as needed and start using it.
In addition to this tool, you can also configure the settings by sending commands via Serial communication.Furthermore, configuration is possible through Web as well.
That’s all!
