Nowadays, agriculture is rapidly becoming an interesting high-tech industry, requiring new professionals, new companies, and new investors. The technology is developing significantly, not only advancing the production capabilities of farmers but also advancing robotics and automation technology. These technology developments aim to both improve the agriculture product quality and also minimize the operational costs. This will make the agriculture more effective and efficient.
This project will initiate and develop the autonomous mobile robot for mapping the agricultural properties. This mapping is very important to prevent and solve any problems which maybe happens in the agriculture industry. Otherwise, this mapping also can be an important reference for taking a decision for preserving and/or improving the agriculture product.
The mobile robot will be equipped with Arduino UNO as the main component. The robot will surround the agriculture area following the predetermined path. Simultaneously, this robot will pick up environmental data in every effective point. In the same time, the microcontroller will send the sensing data through WIFI communication to the sub-server. These multi-parametric data will be processed and analyzed by a certain data acquisition technique. After processing, the sub-server will send the final analysis data to the main server as a final reference to the user.
The data taken by this robot consists of soil moisture level, level of sunlight, humidity, temperature, air pressure and pollutant gases. All of these data is very important for agriculture productivity. Also, mapping result will provide a very valuable reference for the future business plan.
