Project 1: Switches and Knobs | Silent Night

This the first project to Physical Computing at UCF with switches and knobs.

For this project I made an interactable Christmas decoration with the

• Circuit Board Playground Express
• Alligator clips
• MicroUSB charger
• Analog Switch
• Goodwill Christmas decor

The purpose of this project was to create an interactable object that could read code and output something. I decided to make the switch activate the lights via alligator clips and once turned on, the CPX's speaker will turn on. Upon a loud noise the volume is set to max and will play a Silent Night melody I made on Microsoft Makecode. This was a very enjoyable project and funny enough, it even activates when I scream at it. Now I keep it in the living room for my roomates to enjoy.

I used Adafruit Learning code for how to connect the switch to the circuit board with Makecode and the light animations as well.
