Posture Pro is a health monitoring system designed to enhance the well-being of both wheelchair users and IT professionals with sedentary lifestyles. It continuously tracks vital signs and posture, using IoT technology and an STM controller board to provide caregivers or users with real-time health data, ensuring comfort and timely interventions.

The story behind Posture Pro began with a very personal experience. My grandmother has been using a wheelchair for the past 15 years, and over time, she developed several posture-related issues. This sparked my intuition to start a project that could help people who are immobile. Seeing her and others benefit from this idea brought me immense satisfaction, and I realized how meaningful it is to apply my education to give back to society.
Initially, I had multiple ideas on how to approach this. My first thought was to place sensors near the neck, but I quickly realized that this wouldn't be comfortable for long-term use. As I delved deeper into product development and explored AI technology, I began collecting samples of weight distribution for different postures.

With the help of my friends, a total of 180,000 data samples were collected, covering a weight range from 30 kg to 90 kg. This extensive dataset was crucial for developing an accurate and effective posture monitoring system.
A key insight was that a 3D analysis of a person’s posture could be derived from the weight distribution measured along a 2D axis. This breakthrough was crucial as it enabled accurate assessment and correction of posture issues using only the data collected from the load cells.
This approach not only improved the accuracy of posture detection but also enhanced the overall effectiveness of Posture Pro, making it a reliable tool for monitoring and improving posture for individuals who are immobile or spend long hours seated.
Posture Pro stands out for its AI-enabled BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) board, which significantly enhances the robustness of the project. When a user remains in an incorrect posture for longer than the set threshold of 10 minutes, the system activates an alert. A speaker then announces, "Bent forward, correct your posture," providing real-time feedback to the user. This proactive approach ensures that users are promptly reminded to adjust their posture, thereby preventing potential discomfort and posture-related issues.
Posture Pro not only focuses on posture monitoring but also incorporates advanced features for comprehensive patient care. Alongside the posture correction system, the project includes:
