The challenge
The current generation of IoT products are all about using sensors and connectivity to gain a fresh perspective to solve everyday problems. The next era of the IoT involves unlocking the potential of AI on edge devices, where you can run complex AI algorithms right on the edge. Infineon and Hackster.io are dedicated to making this a reality with the Build AI for the IoT Design Contest.
We're inviting you to re-invent the way we interact with everyday objects in our home by using Infineon's flexible, ultra-low power PSoC™ 6 technology combined with the secure connectivity of the AIROC™ wireless chips and industry-leading sensors in the XENSIV™ family. Enhance your project’s potential capabilities with the power of machine learning.
Want to build a smart, connected, security module that will alert you if someone broke into your house using the power of Edge AI? Or make an advanced solution for home healthcare that can detect arrhythmia? Or even make a fully functioning voice-controlled coffee machine that can make that perfect cup of espresso? It’s all possible and we’re excited to see what the Hackster community can do!
The HardwareUse any of any one of Infineon's PSoC™ 6 and XENSIV™ products, alongside ModusToolbox™ Machine Learning software to build your project.
😇 We're giving away 50 free PSoC™ 6 62S2 Wi-Fi BT Pioneer Kit & IoT Sense Expansion Kit hardware bundles to the top hardware applications. Submit your project proposal in the Apply for Hardware tab and you could win one of our 50 hardware bundle giveaways.
If you don't want to wait, you can get a head start and purchase any one of Infineon's PSoC™ 6 and XENSIV™ platforms to participate.
The SoftwareStart exploring your application’s machine learning potential with Infineon’s collection of easy-to-use software and tools, ModusToolbox™ Machine Learning. Its middleware libraries and configurators, board support packages, peripheral APIs and code examples make it possible to automate almost every step of your development process.
🙋 The Infineon Developer Community provides additional access to online documentation, online videos and regular live developer trainings to support you as you go.We recommend also checking out some of our AI software partners like Picovoice and SensiML to unlock the potential of AI on edge IoT systems. Check out the resources section below for more details and the Submission Requirements to see what technology is eligible.
