I've been using my Raspberry Pi 5 for 5 months, now! A reliable and responsive micro SD card with fast data reads and writes may be a good replacement for an expensive SSD, which also requires a PCIe extension card. The same hold true for older Raspberry Pis, though they may work well with slower SD cards, too.

What about USB micro SD card adapters? I've been using them for years! It's good to know some tricks.
