Overview
We're excited to unveil the RISC-V DESIGN CHALLENGE jointly held by RISC-V International, Opensource RT-Thread IoT OS, WCH Microelectronics, LCSC, and EasyEDA! The challenge aims to open up a channel for developers to have an enhanced understanding of the RISC-V application and get hands-on experience with RISC-V MCU. LET'S ROCK!
Your goal is to develop a project using open-source RT-Thread IoT OS on the WCH RISC-V MCU CH32V307.
300pcs hardware + 200pcs chips to give away, all participants whose projects are selected will receive free hardware or chips. What you'll need to get started is planning and submit your project proposal on our form. Submissions for free hardware close on April 30, 2022 23:59 PM PST.
The HardwareCH32V307 are interconnected microcontrollers, based on 32-bit RISC-V core, with hardware stack area and fast interrupt entry. Compared with standard RISC-V, the interrupt response speed is greatly improved. With single-precision float point instruction sets added and stack area extended, the CH32V305/7 has higher performance, the number of U(S)ART is extended to 8, and the number of motor timer is extended to 4. The CH32V305/7 provides USB2.0 high-speed interface (480Mbps) and has built-in PHY transceiver. Ethernet MAC is upgraded to GbE and integrates 10M PHY module.
Key Features: Core speed @ 144MHz, equipped with 144MHz system frequency, 64KB SRAM, and 256KB Flash, and attached with rich peripherals, including USB x 2, Ethernet, UART x 8, DVP, SDIO, CAN x 2, ADC x 16, DAC x 2, SPI x 3, etc.

About us
RT-Thread born in 2006, it's an open-source, neutral, and community-based real-time operating system (RTOS). The software has the characteristics of very low resource occupancy, high reliability, high scalability, can be greatly used in sensing nodes, wireless connection chips and many resource-constrained scenes, also widely applied in gateway, IPC, smart speakers, and many other high-performance applications.
RT-Thread is also considered as an IoT platform with its rich middle-tier components and great hardware and software ecosystem, with almost every key basic component required for IoT devices, such as network protocols, file systems, low power management, etc. It supports all mainstream compiling tools such as GCC, Keil, IAR, etc., and a variety of standard interfaces, such as POSIX, CMSIS, C++application environment, Micropython, and Javascript, easy for developers to port a wide range of applications. RT-Thread also offers great commercial support to all the mainstream CPU architectures such as ARM Cortex-M/R/A, RISC-V, MIPS, X86, Xtensa, etc.
Founded in 2004, Nanjing Qinheng Microelectronics Co., Ltd. is a communication interface chip and full-stack MCU chip company.
Qinheng focuses on connection technology and MCU core research. Based on the full-stack R&D model of self-developed transceiver PHY and processor IP, it replaces the traditional outsourcing IP integration model and provides interface chips such as Ethernet, Bluetooth wireless, USB and PCI. , and a connected/interconnected/wireless full-stack MCU+MCU that integrates the above interfaces.
Technically involves "perception + control + connection + cloud gathering": analog detection such as ADC/PGA, MCU intelligent control and driving algorithm, HID human-computer interaction, network communication such as Ethernet/Bluetooth-LE, UART/USB/USB PD/PCIE /CAN/SerDes and other interface communications, data security, IoT protocols and cloud services, we are committed to providing customers with chips and solutions for the interconnection of everything and the interconnection between top and bottom.
RISC-V is a free and open ISA enabling a new era of processor innovation through open standard collaboration.
The RISC-V ISA delivers a new level of free, extensible software and hardware freedom on architecture, paving the way for the next 50 years of computing design and innovation.
